The Pastor's
Desk
Thank you for visiting "the Pastor's Desk." This
section of the website is
where you will find a variety of bible studies, lessons and
devotionals.
Greetings,
As Pastor of First Baptist
Church of Avinger (FBCA), I consider it a
great privilege to welcome you as our special guest to our web site. We are honored that
you would spend some time looking into our ministry. We
encourage you to browse, and if we can be of any further
assistance to you, please call us or send us an email at:
Pastor@FirstBaptistAvinger.com.
At FBCA
you will find opportunities for worship, service and fellowship
for all ages. We have a very thriving children’s ministry on
Wednesday evenings. We are a warm and
friendly, growing, Bible-believing, Southern
Baptist church and a member of the
Southern Baptists of Texas
Convention. God has blessed our church and made it a
place for people to find real help meeting their needs.
If you
decide to visit our church, you will discover what this congregation of believers is all
about. We take the position that our mission
is the “Great Commission” as stated in Matthew 28:19-20
“Go
ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching
them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and,
lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Our members have a sincere passion for God, an evangelistic
heart, genuine love for people, and a sacrificial spirit about
serving
At First Baptist
our desire is to introduce you to an abundant joyful life that
is only available through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Thanks again for
allowing us to serve you.
